Delete your Jiwar account

You can ask us at any time to delete your Jiwar account and the personal data linked to it, from Account settings in the command centre or by writing to our support team.

Option 1: from Account settings in the command centre

  1. Sign in to the command centre with your account.
  2. Open Account settings from your account menu, then choose Account.
  3. Under Delete account, select Request account deletion, then confirm.
  4. Your email app opens a ready-made message to support@jiwarcom.com that contains your account ID; send it.

Option 2: by email

Write to support@jiwarcom.com with the subject "Account deletion request", and include:

  • that you are asking for your Jiwar account and its data to be deleted;
  • the mobile number registered to your account, if you are not writing from the email address recorded in it.

Before anything is deleted

  • We verify that the request comes from the account holder, typically by confirming control of the registered mobile number, and we confirm the request with you before anything is deleted.
  • If you are the Chairman of a Union or the owner of a Company, hand that role over to another person first; a Union's chairmanship is transferred to another member through the Platform.

What is deleted and what is kept

  • Deleted: your account and the personal data linked to it, including your profile, your memberships of Unions and Companies, and the Jiwar Toolbox exports saved to your account.
  • Kept only for the legal period: what the law requires us to keep or what is needed to establish or defend a legal claim, such as tax invoices and payment records, bookings and signed booking terms, and authentication and security audit records, for the periods set out in section 9 (Retention) of the Privacy Policy.
  • Kept by the Union: Union records that its other members are entitled to access.

How long it takes

We act on a deletion request within the period set out in section 11.1 of the Privacy Policy. Deletion is irreversible: once your account is deleted, neither the account nor the data deleted with it can be restored. Section 16.4 of the Terms of Use sets out the rules on account deletion.
